Try renting the 1998 Spanish film it's based on. The english translation is Open Your Eyes. It's directed by the same man who did 1999's The Others with Nicole Kidman.

No offense to Tom Cruise, i love his videos, yet that's no contest. with the intention to have a Theological debate Mr Cruise would ought to have a significant understanding of Theology. A minimum information of the Bible will be necessary. Even many Atheists and Agnostics have a minimum of a cursory information of the Bible. I doubt heavily if Mr Cruise might want to show an person-friendly understanding of Biblical Salvation through Bible criteria, both OT or NT. I Cr 13;8a

I don't think I can explain it, I think it's just one of those movies that you have to watch, probably more than once, and that you either like or you don't.
