asking where it is when it is right in front of them. My husband last night was looking for a steak knife in the drawer, it was right in front of him; as he was digging for it, he slit the end of his finger off! It is the same with the refrigerator, if it is not right where he can see it we don't have it. Just curious.

Or its the car keys lost, even though he just had them. And then there has to be a step-by-step retrace until they are found, usually in a somewhat odd place.

My friend resorted to a basket where her man was supposed to immediately put his keys, his sunglasses and other sundries, so he could always find them. Did it work? Heck!!

Girls, finding and locating are just two of our many multi-tasking skills :)

It is easier to rely on your knowledge of where everything is. If you have children (or are going to) they will probably try the same easy way out. I don't know why it is that women (wives,Mothers) usually know where stuff is. I might suggest you let him fend for his self. Eventually he will stop asking.Or you could accept the facts of life, and realize "you do know where everything is".

Sometimes it helps to think out loud.

But regardless of gender, the best place to hide anything from anyone is right where it can be found easily.
