Wilt Chamberlain was. He could do what he wanted against any player in his prime. Even as an old man, he dominated Kareem Abdul-Jabaar in 1972. Just to prove he was not one dimensional, he even went out one year and won the assist title. Bill Russell is the greatest as far as teams go. He won 11 out of 13 world championships. Earl Manigault would have been the greatest ever but drugs got to him. He was a playground legend in NYC for years.

6 rings is nothing.
Maybe if the great MJ came back and played another career like he had the first time, he might match Bill Russell's record of 11 rings... but I doubt it.
John Havlicek had 8 rings, which by today's definition would make HIM better than Jordan as well.
Sam Jones won 10 rings. Yet another player who was better than Jordan.
Robert Horry has 6 rings... he's just as good as Jordan.
Kareem won 6 rings as well... but he's actually better than Jordan, because he wins the tie-breaker (he won 6 MVPs to Jordan's 5 - and Jordan won his MVPs while competing against a bunch of high school kids).
