if it is one year age difference then i would go for it . his sister may not like the idea just bcuz she may think that u r gonna hurt her brother but if u 2 go out then she will learn to deal with it . i went through the same thing and am still going through the fact that my bf's sisters dont think we should be dating but i honestly dont care what they think i love him with all my heart and will continue to love him no matter what

13 to 14 is NOT a big age gap. It sounds more like his big sister is just being protective. 13 & 14 IS a little yioung to be dating, but you can be friends. And in a couple of years when you are both old enough to really date, then you can.

in any relationship, there are many things that are more important than age. However, here I have to be honest and say I think you are both too young to even be considering a one-on-one relationship.

Be special friends, close friends, share everything but wait a little while before dating. Enjoy your youth and freedom for a while again. These years never come back.

Both of you are so young. What do you like about him? Does he have good moral character? Good values? Does he live a pure life? Do you have lots of things in common? Write a list of ten qualities you like in a guy, see if he fits the bill. If he does, then explain how you feel to your parents and his...then his sister is out of the equation.

One year is a pretty small age difference if you have a lot in common and make each other happy. If your relationship lasts, one year will eventually become completely insignificant.

Maybe you should talk to him about what his sister's issue is. Maybe she's just protective?

I think age does matter in a relationship, but 1 year difference is nothing.

i am a year older than my fiance and we've been together since i was in 9th grade, and i'm 23 now. so if they are really your friends they will be happy for you.
