Which is best Mouse or rat?

Rats live longer than mice so I would say rat
my Grandmother had 1 and she used to walk around with it on her shoulder
crazy lady
then growing up I had a mouse which died a lil over a month

I think rats live longer...but they get pretty big and they have that nasty tail. but for more of a companion pet defiantely go with a rat...I don't think mice you can play with them very much like a rat you can.

Rats. My old friend had a couple rats but they grew really fast. She didn't want them at first but she loved them when she saw their cute wittle eyes! They like to crawl around your neck and chew on your hair! Their soo cute. Mice breed like the bunnies.

if your thinking rodents i would go for ferrets i've had 5 altoghter they are the best pet really playful full of life but really busy too always needs supervising and aren't the easiest to take care of but believe me they are the funnest pet you will ever know they eat cat food but need ferretvitamins or ferret food cause they are meat eater's they're not mean in any way shape or form just the way they're supposed to eat

I think dogs are best, but mice or rats are good...to feed to your neighbor's pet snake

Mouse! They don't have that long icky tail!! I had pet mice growing up.

Rats make better pets, because of many reasons......
-Larger size, so less fragile.
-More personality and ability to bond.
-Less odor.
