Shamelessly taken off from some Usenet poster:

"I have not every had a problem with bubbles from the Red Sea Skimmer. Here
is what I did.
I took the outflow and piped it back into my bioball tower just under the
filter tray. It did require that I drill two holes in the bio tower but it
did solve the bubble problem.
This way the water trickles down through the stack and no bubbles in the
sump. The RSB is also
external to the sump.

One note to this solution. When you run the hose from the RSB to the
biotower make sure that you
have a tee fitting in the line to break any vacum that may happen.
