Is it easier to lay decking or paving slabs?

It is easier laying decking but paving slabs looks cooler in my opinion.

its easier to lay paving slabs, but they are completely 2 different looks, im sure you know which you prefer. In fact you can get some very interesting paving slabs now, so it can be very interesting...

Just a note with paving slabs you can add a small firepit to the center... something that would be dangerous on a deck... call 911

If you're familiar at all with carpentry then decking will be easier. However, if you base easiness solely on a skills basis then paving slabs would be easier. It takes more back-breaking labor, but it really doesn't require as much skill. And they require less maintenance.

Paving if done correctly it will look great and be easier to care for. You wont have to seal it every year which is a big plus. Bleaching, staining and sealing it every year is a head ache with decks.
