A radio station in RI said that there was a name for this do you know what it is? I am racking my brain to try and remember , because I swear this happens to me daily.

Yes, this happens to me frequently when I am in the car or watching TV. I think it's because something on the radio or TV has the same pitch as my phone ring, and I recognize the pitch. I'm sorry; I don't know a term for this.

I have figured it out...just the other day I had my sound screwed up on the stereo. In the background of lots of songs are sounds that sound very similar to lots of modern day phone rings. You can't hear them unless you are really listening or you have your treble up too high and your bass down to low. It is weird...that used to happen to me all of the time.
