Its just a word to describe poorly dressed, cocky, rude, inarticulate city dwellers who have no sense of humor or taste in music.

There are no real gangstas anymore.Capone and his boys,Godfathers no longer exists.All these hip hop jackasses and street thugs wanna be called that,hence they made up the damn word gangsta by way of ebonics.They get caught all the time,so really they should be called somebodys future *****.Nothing to respect about any of these guys now days.Now go back to the good ole days where it took brains and guts,thats where the word should come into play.

For those who call themselves by that name it means alot. It's the missconceived notion that a group must protect its self from a society which thinks they are inferior. The way to feel superior is to become the bully by looking like a threat. These boys have been told by the democrats that society has no use for them for so long, they live by it like it's a creed. They are wrong. We needed to change- AND WE HAVE!!!
But as long as people keep telling them they can't have a fair shake - they will continue to feel inferior but act superior. They see that being a "Gangsta" makes them feel accepted by 'their society' - the gangsta society and they don't have to care about being accepted by others.
