ok, let me make something absolutely clear. The system itself is called the Revolution, the hardware aka the controllers, are called Wii hardware... Microsoft went USB with the 360 controllers, Nintendo is making their own wireless hardware configuration to prevent users from connecting the hardware to a computer and using it for emulation... the 360 can be emulated nicely with an excellent enough computer and the 360 controller, and is possible to go 4 player because of the USB technology. I've connected a 360 controller to my PC, and it works absolutely perfectly while playing my SNES emulation. Don;t get the hardware and the console confused.. Console = Revolution, Hardware - Wii technology..... to answer the question, there is no upgrade for the gamecube, the next Nintendo console is the Revolution. And I'm sorry, but you're an idiot for thinking the 360 is nothing more than an upgrade to the first gen XBOX. It's a whole new system, with better extras, like being HD compatible, or being able to connect a second HDD to it, load an OS on it, connect a keyboard and mouse, connect it to a tv, and use it as a computer with the TV as a monitor, or maybe the fact that XBOX Live has been completely revamped for the 360, and it uses microsoft servers, like the first gen XBOX, unlike the PS2, where you had to connect to the publisher's online server, which wasn't that great, considering they didn't have much money to spend on an online server for players. Sony never had their own online server for the PS2.

It will be called the Wii. It has Gamecube controller slots so you still can play your Gamecube games on it. It will have complete backwards capability meaning it will be able to play Gamecube, Nintendo 64, Super Nintendo, Nintendo, and Sega Genesis games via its built-in Virtual console. The Wii-mote (controller) will revolutionize the way "Wii" play our games. Games like Zelda where you can actually move the controller to move your sword. Or flip it sideways and you got yourself a steering wheel for Mario Kart. How about being Albert Pujols and swinging the Wii-mote like a bat and hitting a walk-off Grand Slam? Plus, it will be cheaper than both the systems that Sony and Microsoft will put out. It has built-in Wi-fi which will enable you to get downloads and even play against people all over the world. And unlike Xbox Live, its free. It will even be able to hook up to the Nintendo DS!!! In closing, the Nintendo Wii will be awesome. Get this system if its the last thing you do!!!

Nintendo is coming out this fall with a system that will rival the PS3 and the XBox 360. It is codenamed the Revolution, but is being released as the Wii. Pronounced (wee). The controller is awesome, as you have to move it to make your character move. The graphics are great, and the price will be about half of the XBox 360. Google it for more info.

the Revolution is the newest pet from the folks at Nintendo. they have a funky controller that's almost like a lightsaber, which is their gimmick, since they said they're not gonna compete with 360 and Sony as far as graphic power is concerned. i grew up playin Nintendo and i've had every system (even the Virtual Boy, which i still own) but its gonna take a lot of convincing to get me to buy a Revolution. honestly, i still haven't bought into the DS. I don't know, maybe its the fact that the developers are forcing the gamers to become more involved in the game through virtual interactions, but it looks as if i'll find myself trying to get orientated with the controls right in the heat of action. or, maybe that's my hook to hang my hat on so that i won't buy into it at all. long story short, that's what Nintendo is up to.

The next system for Nintendo is the Wii (w-EE). I'm not sure when it is suppose to come out but... There is a site about the new Wii, the address is http://wii.nintendo.com/home.html. There is site about the company Nintendo at www.nintendo.com. It tells games or systems that are coming out for Nintendo systems only. Hope that works!

it's called the Revolution. It has some amazing stuff, but the controller really, really sucks. Don't expect to see it for another year.
