Crabs can survive both in and out of water...so he should have been fine. I am starting to think that Spongebob Spuarepants writers are just making it up as they go along.

Depends on what kind of crab it is. You know animals can have anxiety to new things (my dog has to take anti anxiety medication) so it could be that it is something new and Mr. Krabs could need medication for his problem.
Kind of like me and my multi personalities, we're in our own little world ..but at least we get along :)
