Depending on your location. Most companies in my area charge 95.00 - 159.00. I'd say 75% of washer backups are due to a slow draining kitchen line that the washer ties into. A chemical is a waste of money if that's the case. It would be diluted with water by the time it reached it.

I assume tthat when you say the drain that you mean the PVC pipe in the wall, correct? In order to have it fixed a plumber will charge @ $60-80 a hour, depending on location and other factors, for labor. They will also charge you for the new hardware. The total could be @ $100 give or take, that's if it takes them an hour, it should be done faster than that. If you are handy, D.I.Y. (all you need is the correct size pipe, PVC glue and primer). If the pipe is leaking it will have to be fixed.
If it is backed up, buy a cheap snake at a hardware store (i.e Home Depot) or maybe even some Draino.
If you mean the drain hose from the washer, just replace it. It'll take 5-10 minutes and you'll save $$.

He would not only unclog the drain but would have to repair the leak. May be expensive (or not) but ask for an estimate first. Also, if it is leaking from the black drain hose from the washer, buy a replacement at the home center and replace it yourself.

If its the hose from the washer to the drain, then change the hose. I would do that first before you call a plumber. If that's not it, then they are about $75/hour plus supplies. Go to a home improvement store and see what you can find there that is cheaper.

my brother used to work as a cook for an italian restraunt and would always wash his oily clothes in the washing machine...well one day when it hit the drain part of the cycle it filled up the drain pipe that is in between the hot and cold hook ups and down the wall... we tried using a drain king clog buster...no use....tried using a whole bottle of draino gell....no use....we eventually poured STRAIGHT BLEACH down it ...let it set for about 30 min then drained a full machine load of hot water..and havent had a problem since. bleach straight up worked for us... now im no chemist nor a plumber so im not sure how hard bleach is on polyvinylchloride( aka your pipes) but its been about 6 months and still no problems

Call a LICENSED plumber. They all charge differently. Generally they will tell you over the phone what charges they have to make the service call. Once they assess your problem, they will tell you first what it will cost.
