I dont know if Earl Hammer is still living, it is loosely based on his family

My mom is like the only fan of the Waltons. She knows all the episodes. In fact about 2 weeks ago I was on the R train going back to Queens from downtown and I saw Richard Thomas on the trian , just sitting there reading a book. He got off of the 57th street stop. I was so set back I could not even go to talk to him. I have a pic and all of him with my camera phone.
Anyway it looks like there could be a good chance that some are still alive. I will list some links below that could be helpful.
