That would depend on what type of job you had. I work from home now, so I never get bored :) But when I worked in an office, I would surf the web, read a book or play computer games. If my desk was cleared off and everything was done, my boss didn't mind what I did.

If I stare at the computer screen long enough, I actually start to believe I'm accomplishing something. Thats how my day usually goes. Sometimes a stare out the window, and while that it is more fun, it also doesn't look like working, so I try to find a nice balance of nothing vs. slightly more nothing. 5:1 works out fairly well.

When it's ok - I chit chat with other employee's, eat, call my friend from my cell-phone, look for a better paying job in the Newspaper, clean out my purse, paint my toe nails, read magazines, go out and straighten out my car (on my break of course), put makeup on. That's about it - there's not a whole lot you can get away with at a job when the Boss's are standing around you.

play a game on Ur PC. you must buy this accessory, when u press a on the pedal, the game closes and an excel document opens, that way Ur boss won't find out. or u might drink tea, coffee, and every other liquid til it is time to go home, and Ur bladder explodes:p

I know I hate being bored. Theres nothing worse than trying to look busy. I tend to disapear until thers something to do.
