How hard are you willing to train? If you're really willing to go at it, there's a lot of free exercise training programs on the web, or hit your local bookstore or library for info. Plan on spending 5 hours a week at it, more as you get toned up and in shape. Weight-lifting is a great way to build your muscles, your diet should be pretty lean, not so much that you feel wiped out, but cut out the chee-tos and the beer, ice cream, etc. until you start dropping weight. If you haven't worked out in a while, a doctor's visit isn't a bad idea at any age before you go pumping iron and pushing yourself...
