Man, I see that all the time in here. Goofy. Conservatives telling folks to put down the bong and get an SUV and head for the gated communities of America. What in the world does a bong have to do with it? Or pot? I've known plenty of conservatives that toke. I just don't even understand why dope smokin is an insult. It isn't an insult in most countries. I don't prefer the stuff at all but what the heck does pot have to do with politics? That's a bunch of leftover stuff that the hard hats and WWII vets used to accuse hippie Vietnam protesters of. But man, what in the world does that have to do with political debate in today's world? I'm far left and prefer a shot of Jack Daniels to a doobie anyday.

Jane Fonda was a drinker? Well I really don't know. I smoked dope for years. Leftist views are just far easier to rag on. I mean if you look at the right wing stuff. it's all liberal media and conspiracy. They have things broken down to the point where you can't take a **** without being monitored by satelites in space. The leftist movement is about building things that work and systems that can work together. You won't hear that kind of talk from a right wing guy as he is too full of getting you to work for him. I think it's a load of crock and just another one of the things they use for ammunition. If it gets em pissed then they are all for using it. I'm a middle type of guy but I see the bs on both sides. Even spewing forth from my own forked tongue every now and then. It seems as though we can't identify with each other. There is no middle ground anymore. The rich buy it up to relax in it and the poor eat it up to make due. I was never around to protest Vietnam but I like to think that the hippies had some great ideas about changing some of the fundamentals of this country. The ones in power just use anything they can get thier grubby paws on to use it to fuel the fires of thier own greed. I say give em all a pow wow and see if they change thier attitude just a little. Well I don't really feel like I've answered your question but I feel a little better now that I got to vent some. Thanks for posting and I'll definately lift my tumbler high and take a drink with ya. Here's to enjoying the scenery and forgetting our troubles.

I'm not far left or right. You have a good point. The far right think all people are stoner's if you are members of the ACLU. The far left thinks you are a Nazi if you agree with anything the President does. The people in the middle just kick back, toke one, and laugh at all the other people. Maybe we should all move to the green party. At least our agriculture production will pick up and we'll use less fossil fuels because we'll be to stoned to drive our SUV's.

simple answer; republicans don't have any rational arguments so they must resort to personal attacks.
