nothing besides going to the dr and getting a shot will make it go away quick......if you go to like walmart or somewhere like that can get some stuff called "ivyrest" in the pharmacy section that will help with the itching etc...but only way to get rid of it quick is dr.
don't bother with those expensive creams that they have..they don't really work any better than ivyrest

Poison ivy/oak are easier to prevent taking hold than they are to get rid of once it's set in. If you're going to be in poison ivy/oak territory, apply a preventative cream/lotion like IvyBlock at least 15 minutes before expected exposure. If you haven't applied an ivy blocker and you know, or suspect, that you've come in contact with it, douse the affected areas with rubbing alcohol, then wash the affected areas thoroughly with water (No soap yet! Water temperature does not matter!) as soon as possible (within 10 minutes, for sure). Then, as soon as possible, shower using soap and water. If a rash develops, use a product like IvyRest to help control itching, etc.
Best solution, make your animals indoor-only pets, and prevent the problem to begin with. Plus, it's a lot safer and better for them, too!
The urushiol (sticky, clear oil from poison ivy/oak/sumac) that causes the rash, etc. can stay on things and remain active for years!! ie. A hunter who tromped through poison ivy a year or two ago can pull on the boots he hasn't worn since, and get a rash from the oil that is on there from the last time he wore them!

If its on your hand or leg, you can make a bucket of water with 1/2 cup of bleach in it and soak the part. If its a mucus membrane, like on your face or on your privates, see a dr.

You can't really "get rid" of it until it's run it's course. But calomine lotion will take away the redness and stop the itching which will stop you from scratching and ulimately stop you from spreading it all over you.

Clorox Bleach will do the job, seriously. It burns like hell, but it works like a bloody charm. Literally and figuratively.

I'm serious here so don't think I'm joking. Take a spatula and pop them all then pour bleach on it, it might sting a little but it works. believe me I've tried it.
