Emma is absolutely spot on with this one. It's not the English that we hate. It's the arrogance of the English media, and the generally dismissive attitude that you show to everybody who isn't English.

And owenofglasgow2 is spot on as well. You should be one of the most entertaining teams at the world cup, but Sven has turned you into the most depressing team still in there.

Except maybe the Ukraine. They've been rubbish.

Way to go coming across as the bigger man by the way:

"I know Mel Gibson failed to give you FREEDOM but isn't it time to get over it?"

It's good that you've risen above cheap jibes. You're clearly demonstrating that you are just that bit classier than us.

I'm from the U.S., but have been living in Scotland for just over three years now. During that time, the arrogance of the English *commentators* has turned me against them. Mostly I want England out just so that they'll have less to prattle on about. I don't particularly care about the English team/players one way or the other. But the commentators are too much.

And silly insults like yours (Mel Gibson? Are you American that you think he had anything to do with it?) give me no reason to change my mind.

its because most of you English are so arrogant about how great your team is and how you keep on and on about how you re going to win every game etc .... England have not won the world cup for 40 bloody years and yet you keep going on about it even to this day . If you haven t won in that long does that not suggest that you are a bit crap as well . You would be all upset if we had a Great British team with player's from England Ireland Scotland and Wales because then you couldn't blow your own trumpet !!!!!

Oxy
It's not your Team we all hate it's the deluded English and their we've got the right to beat everybody attitude.
FFS your team aint nothing to worry about. Let's face it if your honest enough YOU will admit that England have been the Worst team that is still left in the Tournament,
Nobody's gonna lose any sleep about facing England, And it is a pity cos you've got a pretty good squad.
But sadly you have One of the most negative and clueless coaches in the business, He is defo your weak link and he's ruining a good squad of players by going into games with the attitude of "Let's not get beat" instead of playing to your players' strengths.
Look at the evidence for example Steve Gerrard and Frank Lampard are totally unreckogniseable from the players who Star week in week out in the Premiership
Oh your in for a shattering let down cos England have NO CHANCE of Winning the World Cup

I'm English, not into football but i think people should show good sportsmanship, whatever country people are from.

It's called being a good winner/loser, and if you can't even do it for that reason at least do it to give yourself the moral high ground over people that DO go on about it like it is the only thing EVER.

I am Scottish and support England because we are all part of the UK, it is just a minority of muppets who behave like that.
Accusing all Scottish people of hating the England Squad however is like me saying all England Fans are hooligans which is clearly wrong. By grouping all scots together because of the behaviour of a minority you yourself are a small step away from being one of those muppets!!

maybe its something to do with the fact that your country is not liked , anywhere in the world , when you go abroad you cannot act like civilised human beings, our team i agree are s... as you put it, but i would rather have a bad football team and have the rest of the world respect us
