If the scenes were "Deleted" then they no longer exist. Wouldn't it be correct to say, "removed scenes" or "edited scenes"???

That is very true. Your right. They should say removed or edited scenes. Good observation.

Deleted refers to the removal from a movie the same way that files are deleted from a computer.

The scenes still exist, but not in the original release of the film in question. Those scenes are either added in later as part of the Director's Cut or stockpiled together as an extra feature on DVDs.

In my opinion, there are very few actually deleted scenes that should have stayed in the movie.

If it has Deleted scenes it means that it was intended to be in the movie, but it wasn't so lucky and found it's way to the editing room floor. it would be ok it say removed scenes. but i guess that saying deleted scenes makes it sound bigger and better than it really is.

No--"delete" just means taken out. Doesn't mean they no longer exist. It's the same as saying "removed" or "edited out."

They just mean deleted from the final version of the published movie. It sounds more interesting to see something that was "deleted" instead of "edited out."

lol...good question...they werent edited but deleted from the final version of the movie so removed can work out but I think deleted sounds better

They WERE deleted from the final, theater version of the movie, not deleted from existence.

They say "deleted" cause they were scenes deleted from the MOVIE...but they were techinally not full-out deleted from film.

They were deleted from the actual movie. So, they were deleted. Maybe they still had them in the "recycle bin..."
