who do you think makes the best guitars?

This question will be debated until the cows come home.
The best guitars in the world are actually built by companies you've never heard of. But, as far as the best guitars on the market that you have heard of, it's definitely Gibson. Fender (as well as other top branded companies) make good guitars as well and they sell thousands of them. But, if you ever get the chance to go into a Gibson factory and observe their guitar making process, you're jaw will drop to the floor. Their custom guitar shop in Nashville is second to none. ♫♪♫

Interesting respopnses - I believe that Paul Reed Smith is likely the best today for electrics. In the past I would have Fender na dpossibly even Ibanez for awhile. Fender has remained steady. Ibanez sold its soul to the Guitar Centers of the world. I personally own three Ibanez guitars but have my eyes on a couple of PRS's.
I would agree that Martin is hnads down the best acoustic guitar manufacturer.

Flip a coin! Heads Gibson, Tails Fender. What did you come up with? Its a toss up between these two.
Personally I own a 1973 sunburst Fender Stratocaster with a maple neck but I would love a Gibson Les Paul too!

electric- hard to say, gibson and epiphone are almost identical, but are in the top. fender still makes the best strat though

well it depends on when you say as the best
on craftmanship and detail we can say that the best are paul reed Smith on design it varies on tastes but i like parker and schecter and in sounding i like schecter and gibson they sound cooool

I think Fender is great.
Personally, I have an acoustic Segovia, and it's good enough for me.
