That is an internet rumor. He was just on "Where Are They Now" child stars laughing about that same exact rumor. Go to this About.com page and read up on it....it's a hoax.

No. I read an article saying that he did, and then did some further research and found out that it was actually a gay male who was obsessed with Jaleel and looked like him who committed suicide.
