There is no need or reason to pursue an "English only" policy in the US. This is anti-immigrant bias and robs the country of its vigor.

If you REALLY believe in traditional American values and culture - you ought to LEARN about them. They are DERIVED from the influence and epxerience of immigrants. Even the East Coast accents come from adapatation of the way immigrants spoke.

I strongly suggest you become informed before staking yourself out in public as a bigot.

Start with Oscar Handlin's superb study of immigration and immigrant experiences, "The Uprooted."

Everyone should know that America is the only country in the Americas with America in its name. Would Anake suggest United Statesians instead of Americans? Too late, we Americans have dibs on the name! And it's the name the world knows us by. Live with it!

I agree with you. One big problem-little Saigon in Garden Grove, CA as well as pockets of immigrants all over the USA. I don't have a problem with it, as long as they learn to at least speak English. I mean, come on, they get driver's licenses and cant read English? That's good.

Yes. Despite the inevitable negative consequences of commercial culture (in terms of individual development) - our model has generated massive funds for science and research, no other model has done this.
