All major networks tape delay programs not so that we don't have another "Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction" Can they really call it live when we all know it isn't?

ive pondered this question also. if you think about it, no matter how 'live' anyone tries to broadcast an event, there will Always be some type of delay (maybe milliseconds). whats the difference if its 7 seconds? its just 'more live' than previously recorded (which can be thought of as 'very delayed live') lol!
