I would like to add a little notepad to the sidebar of my blog...can you help.

I don't know exaclty what is what you need but maybe a WIKI can help you.
A wiki is usually seen as an application where information can be pubblished but also can be changed by visitors.
There are lots of free wikis out there that you can put on your site.
