I'm a coin dealer in the Midwest, and here is the CORRECT answer. 1872-CC is a rare date in Seated Liberty Dimes. There were only 35,480 dimes struck at Carson City that year (as opposed to over 2 million struck at Philadelphia!). The coin's value depends on it's exact condition and will range anywhere from around $200 or so for a used one to as much as several thousand for an Uncirculated example.

I'd suggest taking it to your local coin dealer to have it authenticated and appraised..and PLEASE, DON'T try to clean or polish the coin; you will reduce or ruin its value. Leave it in its natural state.

Hope this info helped.

It depends on the condition; the better it is, the more it's worth. At the very least, it's worth the value if its silver content.
