Fear of being rejected for what they feel inside. Because feeling pressure and resistance instead of acceptance is depressing. To be put down for how you feel really hurts. I had to deal with that for 6 years. I am with someone else now but it really sticks to you.

All woman are different. Maybe she shared in the past and it was used against her. We all have different ways of dealing with things, and protecting ourselves.
Can you be trusted?

Usually it is because they don't trust you, or in some cases, don't trust themselves.
When anyone wants to open up to another person, they will, in their own time. Best advice to you is don't worry about it, she will or she won't and there is not much you can do to change that. Think about it, when you don't want to discuss something can you be "forced to"?

a lot of times a woman is scared of how she will feel after she shares her feelings, will she be pegged as bitchy, or too emotional, will the guy just push her feelings aside and blame it on PMS? will she be validated or ridiculed?
