It depends on when you had sex and when your last period occurred. Typically one week after your last missed period. If you had a condom break or something of that nature you have 72 hours from the time of the sexual act to take something called a morning after pill, which will prevent pregnancy. If this is the case, call your OB/GYN or planned parenthood, it's not too late.

You didn't say when you had sex, but if it is 48 hours or less, you can get the emergency birth control. You have to see a doctor/gyno for it, and it doesn't always work, but can prevent a pregnancy that is "on its way". If it has been longer than that, there are several tests that can be done a few days before a missed period. There have been several times in my life that I thought I was pregnant and I bought a test immediately (Before I should...) and they have ALWAYS been right. Knowing helps so much, but don't stress yourself. Take care!

WOW, All these men TRYING to answer!!! Most at home test can tell as early as a week BEFORE your period is due. Blood test can tell as early as 2 weeks in some cases. Call your doctor or a Planned Parenthood.

Forget about the test, go to the doctor and get the morning after pill immediatley. Then it is usually only accurate right around the time of your period (or missed period as the case may be). Good luck.

usually 2-3 weeks after you had sex your HCG levels should be high enough to detect but it's better if you wait 2 weeks after your missed period. If you want to know sooner, you can get a blood test at the doc.

Depending on your cycle. Count the day you started you period (heavy flow) then count to 15. Take the test on that day and then wait for another week and test again.

well for a home preg. test you will have to wait until you have missed a period or right before your period is due. you can go to the health department and they can do a blood test right around the time you period is due.
if you are not pregnant, please get on birth control!! it is free at the health department and they will give you free condoms. do this even if you are not going to be sexually active.
there is absolutely no excuse for having unprotected sex!!!!
if you aren't going to protect yourself against std's then protect against pregnancy please.

I think it takes a couple of days for at-home tests, but doctors' tests can tell much earlier.

the fastest way to find out is for you to go to the doctor to do a blood test. you can take a home test but sometimes it may not show up if you are, cause it may be to early.

as sson as five days before your first missed period with some tests, and if you already missed you can go ahead, and just to be sure you should go to the doctor and get blood drawn and check that way too. GOOD LUCK!!
