With the team hitting the way the are and if A.J. Burnett can come back healthy, probably better than a lot of people will give them credit for. However, they need to surpass the Yankess and/or Red Sox just to make the playoffs and I don't see that happening, not this year at least.

Without being able to look up sporting odds (I am at work), I would guess pretty low for a few simple reasons. First, closing in on the All Star game, they are 4.5 games behind their division leader Boston and about 9 games behind the Wild Card leading Chicago WhiteSox. First, they have to make the playoffs and that means they have to win their division or have the best record among all the non division winners in the American League. Like I said, they are almost 5 games behind Boston (their division) and about 9 behind the White Sox for best record among non division-leaders. Further, then they have to win all series in the playoffs, and that would be a tough task in of itself. They have better chances than Kansas City, but still they will not have good odds. I will update this when I get home and get to check the sports book.

Update: Here is a link that speculates the odds of making the playoffs etc for every team in baseball:

Blue Jays are going to win this year. If not they will in the next few years.

Slim to none.

And slim just left town.

They might make the playoffs (aka East Division Champions), but no way do they get past Detroit or Chicago.

Zero to none. They will not make the playoffs unless they get another starting pitcher to improve their starting rotation. If they do, they have a chance.

Good luck.

They are an "ok" team. Too bad the Red Sox are in the same division.
