get an internship at a TV station and see if it's for you... you will make contacts who may hire you for a permanent position.

Join your high school newspaper or TV station (if you have one). If not, start an online newspaper for your high school! Then, apply to a college that has a strong journalism program and get a bachelor's degree in journalism. As soon as you get to college, start working for the college student newspaper or radio station or TV station -- or all three!

The next step is to get as many internships as you can. If you can get one every summer while you are a student, great!

Go to college and major in Journalism. Also intern for a newspaper/radio/tv station during the summer. This looks good on your resume when you graduate.
