It's difficult to say exactly how long it will take any one individual or couple to get pregnant. Factors such as your age, general and reproductive health, and when you have intercourse all impact your chances of conceiving a child
However, these general statistics may give you an idea of how long it will take. Normally fertile couples have a 25 percent chance of getting pregnant each cycle, and a cumulative pregnancy rate of 75 to 85 percent over the course of one year. Still, some healthy couples can take even longer to get pregnant
And you can try to increase your likelihood of getting pregnant sooner by learning to pinpoint exactly when you ovulate, and by familiarizing yourself with the cyclic hormonal and physical changes that take place in your body each month.
I have included some links for you so you can do some reading and research on your body. OVULATION IS THE KEY TO GETTING PREGNANT! Remember that. These are the steps you need to take...
1.) Make an appt. with an OBGYN. He or She needs to give you a complete exam and make sure you are having regular periods, that your tubes are unblocked, and that you donot have anything else that may cause you to not get Pregnant ie...sexually transmitted diseases, PCOS, ect...
2.) You need to make sure that you are ovulating. Belive it or not, some women, do not ovulate. And as I said, Ovulation is the KEY to getting pregnant. To do this, you should buy a Basal Themometor (you can buy at almost any store where they sell regular themometors.) and start taking your temps EVERY MORNING BEFORE you get out of bed. to read more about this, check out this website for what they have to say about it.. http://www.mamasark.com/bbt.htm......
3.) you also need to learn to check your Cervix Position AND your Cervial Mucus everyday. To learn more about this check out these websites... http://www.webwomb.com/check_cervical_po...
and
http://www.webwomb.com/cervical_mucus_pa...
4.) Once you have got this all down you need a place to chart them all so that you can keep track of what your body is doing and when you ovulate. www.fertilityfriend.com is the best place to do this. It is a free site and it allows you to chart your temperature, your cervial mucus and position and helps detrmine when you ovulate.
*********OF COURSE YOU CAN ALWAYS JUST DO IT THE OLD FASHIONED WAY AND HAVE ALOT OF SEX AND HOPE FOR THE BEST! LOL But for your best chances, these are the steps you need to take!!*************
~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~PLEASE REMEMBER!!!! Even a 100% healthy couple only has a 40% chance of conciving each month, so dont get discouraged if it doesnt happen right away, even if you do all the things above. Just have fun with it, and do not make sex a chore or a job, just relax and enjoy eachother, and when the time is right, you will get Pregnant!
Good luck to you and TONS OF BABY DUST YOUR WAY!!!!! *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~...

I would tell you to stop trying (keep having sex) , but stop trying.
The stress of trying can actually make your body shut down.
THere are other possibilities, like your new hubby has a vas and doesnt want to tell you, or you have a low grade infection that needs to be cleared up and a few other ones.
See your doctor for a check up and tell him you are trying to get pregnant, and he will check you over for obvious little problems.
Good luck. I had two kiddos, and six years later all of a sudden out of the blue got pregnant, so relax , it can happen.

I would just try and relax, try not think about the actually reason your wanting to have sex and just do it. The more relaxed you are it seems the better at conception it does. I was so worried about wanting a baby that it prevented me from ovulating and therefore no baby. Stress will keep you from ovulating and it will affect your mood inhibitors greatly.

it sounds like you are doing what you can to boost your chances. It may be stress - sometimes when you get stressed it can effect your chances. Try to relax but since it has been over a year, I would check with a fertility doctor. They can do any tests or give additional information that you might need. Good luck!

I would suggest seeing a doctor, there are many reasons you may not be getting pregnant. If you are not ready to see your dr just yet, try a ovulation predictor kit (most drugstores including Wal-mart carry them) and doing your basal temperature in the morning to predict ovulation.

Maybe you are putting too much pressure on yourself and it may be causeing stress.... I have 3 kids and am currently tring for #4 ... i always get pregnant right away, but this time it has taken alot longer. Maybe you should speak to your obgyn about this, and maybe she/he can give you something to help the problem. GOOD LUCK!

Find out if you have antibodies against his sperm that are killing them.
Is there any chance that he had a vasectomy?
You can buy him a home sperm test to try...
And lastly, things can change - the fact that each of you was fertile before does not mean that you are now. Don't wait too long & go see a doctor.

You need to both see a genetics counselor, and have blood work up, many many things can and or have changed since your last pregnancy and his, it could be illness or other heath issues be thankful you both have children, in many cases couples face this issue when they neither have kids

It could be stress. If your trying too hard it could put stress on your body, and that could hurt your ability to reproduce. Good luck with it all.
