Im so angry about how everyone thinks italy cheated because they got a call their way in the last second.. when they got a terrible call against them to take them down to 10!!
The penalty was caused by the aussie defender, he left the door open for the easy penalty.. any expirienced player wouldve gone for it. The fact is the italian player went for the foul.. yes... he did.. and dont act suprised .. how many times do players do it in basketball?? its a strategy.. and this time it paid, he was tripped in the box.. he is not gonna go to far lengths not to get fouled.. its the easiest way out.. the ref made the call he had to make
But now.. you Italian haters.. how do you answer to the automatic red card the ref gave to the italian defender!! lets recap what it was..
was he the last defender? nope..
was the foul in the box? nope
was it a late tackle? yes..
was he going for the ball? yes.. but late
this is a YELLOW card!!! not a RED!! and I seem to remember Italy kicking being extremely close several times to score before this happened.. the only reason this game was 0-0 in the 93th minute when the "bad" penalty was called.. was because of a terrible auromatic red card
and yes.. they will beat whoever wins from the other match, and they will have a good game against Argentina, but i dont think they can beat them

I don't think so. With the level of talent the Italian team has, they SHOULD have won against Australia easy. As expected they didn't do too well, like all the other games they've played, and I think Australia was riding on this chance that they'd be able to get one over Italy since they've been doing badly. I too had hoped Australia would get in because they definitely deserved it more than the Italians.
For some reason, the Italians just haven't been playing up to par, unlike the Brazilians, who although started somewhat slow, seemed to have suddenly recovered their greatness during the game with Japan.
Hopefully, for their sake, Italy figures out what it is that is wrong with them. But the way their going, it looks like they're just not going to improve.

They may make it to the Semis, but they will not make the finals.
Aside from the fact that they simply don't have the skill, they won't be able to bait the Brazillian team into the stupid actions of the Austrailians.
The Itallians got VERY lucky in their match today. They were lucky that their defender wasn't called for handling in the Penalty Area. They were lucky that another of their players wasn't red carded for hitting the referee in the arm. They were lucky that the referee bought the dive.
They deserved the red card they got and they deserved to lose today.

I thought that they played terrible today. The way they went through group play i expected them to play a lot better. If they played like they did today I do not think they will make to the semis, however if they play like they should then they can most definately make it to the semis if not farther

Italy played very well today. But still I doubt that they will make it even passed the 8th round. They play dirty and i dont like them.
