I would not have done it. some people say they would not bring a child into this world because of the way things are. i think its sad what if oprah's parents said that or any one of a million others who went on to live rich rewarding lives. your life is what you make it. yes it is a struggle but if you only see bad then that is the end result that you will get.Look for the the good in all situations and focus on that.
GOOD LUCK

yes and no. if you have zero faith then it's hard to fault you for giving up. But those with faith in a higher power, one that they can pray and believe that they are heard, would no doubt understand that there are some who can come out of a slave background to help themselves and others, Harriet Tubman, Nat Turner, and Frederick Douglass' mother, had they been killed at a young age, would not have gone on to help countless others out of slavery. First, you should always pray on it. God bless.

I'd say any one
short sighted enough to kill a child at birth because of what "might be" is a slave to their own shortcomings. Yes in my opinion it is wrong. But again its my opinion and not gospel :)

i would not do that because my baby deserves a life and even though i was a slave i would give it nurture and health and most importantly love so even though i was a slave. i would keep it happy

I understand why you would do it. I personally believe it is wrong to kill your child. I suppose I would have tried to change things, to make the world better for him/her. But I suppose it's a personal, moral, and spiritual choice, and a question that no one could truly answer unless he/she had experienced it.

some women in the middle east stone their stomachs when they are pregnant from some one besides their husbands, others suffocate their baby girls so that they dont get tortured by their dads or future restraints that their culture put on girls!

Well, I guess it depends on the times. How do you feel? Would you sleep good knowing you did that? I would hope that I would have enough trust in God to stand in that situation, but only HE knows. God bless. Hope this helps. :)
