I was watching The View today and they announced that Ms. Walters was getting a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame (I think that is the correct name for it.). But if I remember correctly Ryan Seacrest already got one. I am just trying to figure out how he gets a Star before Barbara Walters when she has done so many major interviews. It seems to me that whoever is in charge doesn't care about what one has done just how popular they are.

More to the point: "How does Ryan seacrest get a star at all?"

The guy is just a host. I could think of thousands of other actors who deserve it before him. Even the judges could've gotten it before that guy.

I mean, years from now, when american idol loses fame, people will look at the barbara walters star and remember why she was famous. They will then come across the ryan seacrest star and say: "who?" "what?"

"what did he do?"

and the answer my friends is nothing.

Ryan Seacrest is a TV & Radio personality who shot to fame rather quickly by Hollywoods standards. Barbara Walters is a Jounalist who appears on TV. Big difference. The fact she's getting a Star on the Walk of Fame is rediculous. If she gets one then Walter Cronkite among others should have had theirs long ago. The line between TV Journalism personalities and Hollywood personalities who regularly appear on TV is narrow versus 15 or even 25 years ago. Why? The viewing public has ceased to see a difference. The preponderence of TV viewers today see anyone on TV as a star or potential star. Example: Katy Curic. Definitely NOT a star by any standards but has enough industry clout to command $15 million a year to appear on news shows. Go figure?

To get a start - you just have to petition and give a donation to the city. So Ryan Seacrest simply did it first!

I don't know how to answer this question other than there are a lot of morons in the world....and Ryan Seacrest is their leader.
When I read this question I got a little nauseous...I can't believe this is true...but sadly, I know it is.
Thanks for sharing this and I totally agree with you!

how does he get anything? He s a talentless short boy-toy who seems to be everywhere - even hangs with ex-athletes for some reason.

I didn't know she didn't have a star. That's pretty disturbing that Ryan got one before her. YUCK!!
