Collaboration. Why to do it is easy, to actually do it is quite hard....

I think it really depends on the situation. In some cases collaboration is helpful--in some situations, too many people involved may actually spoil your prospects of success.

To pick an easy example, a football team needs to "collaborate" and run plays as a unit. Individuality is not a good thing in that scenario. If an individual is seeking to play Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata," on the other hand, that is not the type of thing that can be accomplished as a collaborative effort (at least not if the goal is for an individual to play the piece).

I think that individuality may be the preferable of the two in a very generic sense--although I agree that true collaboration can offer what individuality will never achieve. However, I have to say that I think your question is too vague--it does depend on the situation as to which approach is to be preferred.

individuality is the only choice for collaboration is simply and integration of individuals, you cannot have collaboration without the individuals to collaborate you can however have non-collaborating individuals.
