Most likely - NOT POSSIBLE

The motherboard has to support new P4 processor
check it out, if it does

besides, P4 is for desktops
centrino's for notebooks !

Suggest u take it 2 a professional
- else be clear about what problems u facing

Check you user's manual to see where the processors lid is on the bottom of your notebook. Unscrew the screws that are there and it should be under some type of heatsink. Remove the heatsink and then take the processor chip out and put the new one in. Now, put the heatsink back on and the lid back on top.

Many notebooks have fixed CPUs in them - meaning that you cannot upgrade. Also, notebooks generally use a different socket than an desktop PC. It also depends on the make, and model of the notebook.

as a piece of advice don't even try to replace the cpu on a notebook. they are on the difficult side to work on and you can break parts very easily.

I agree with ktr_bava ....
I work on laptops ...on some of the older laptops, you can't even upgrade the processors. If you do anything wrong or shock "static" the system .. it will fry it ...

take it to a pro ...
