Just wondering if I could be ovulating before day 12. I think I may have been? I had the symptoms that were similar to ovulating.

Thanks for the help. I've heard a lot about that book "Taking charge of your fertility". I believe I will be getting it as soon as I get to the store!!

Yes you can ovulate earlier than 'normal'! It just means you'll have a shorter cycle than you have been having! Ovulation determines when you will have your next period! After ovulation you have your luteal phase and that normally lasts 12-16 days! Stress does not affect this last part of your cycle...that is why ovulation determines when you will have your next period!!

Example: normal cycle 27 days...this cycle (if you ovulated 3-4 days early) 24 days! **this is just an example...not set in stone or anything!!

I would recommend that you get the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler! It is an excellent book and will tell you everything you need to know about your cycle! It will also help you track your ovulation times! It is really informative!! So please get this book...you won't have to wonder when you ovulate anymore!!

Yes, you can ovulate at different times each month. Ovulation can be affected by many things, your mood, hormones, even the weather. It is even possible to ovulate more than once in the same cycle.

Buy one of those ovulation kits and test yourself each month. That is the only sure way to know when you ovulate.

yes, you can ovulate at different times - pay attention to your body like your discarge or your basal body temp. This site might help you get a better idea of what to look for and how to track your fertile times.
