The skin between the index and thumb looks like a great spot for a piercing... but one tattoo parlor I went to would not do it. Does anyone know why?

You need to consider how active your hands are. Its not like ears or noses...you use your hands for thousands upon thousands of things a day...consider what it would feel like to get that piercing torn out? Or maybe because your hands house so many germs and types of bacteria. It may get infected easily. I would recommend considering another body part to pierce.
