Only if thats what he wants. I think he has retired from public office. The Iraq speech was bad for him. He was too use to taking orders.

Only if he wants it to be --
He is a very gifted man, and he is still a well respected man.
He has already made it know that he does not want to hold an elected office, and I believe he is sincere in this.
But this doesn't mean his career is over -- he does have the luxury of choosing what he wants to do next.
ps. the correct spelling of his name would be Gen. COLIN POWELL

He retired from military service, and resigned as Secretary of State. I would say he didnt care much for the political arena. So those two careers would seem to be over. Whether or not he decides to do other things is up to him. I am sure he has millions of posibilities.

He has little credibility with the Dems for making a fake case to go in to Iraq. His Intel was flawed at best and knowingly flawed at worst, who needs that?
He would not run as a Republican if he came back.

Now if he were to run for office, no one cares what credibility he'd have with democrats, they wouldn't be voting for him anyway.
Other than that, yes. After 35 years of honorable govt service he deserves to be let free of the public grasp.

I pray it's not. As a white American it was great to see an African American in power. He is a great man and it's about time our country shows it's colors. Black, White,Red, Yellow. Maybe we should introduce all these colors onto the stars and stripes.
