I recently asked, "Child Sexual Abuse and it's outcome?"

I would like to add. My husband feel he needs intervention and not counseling. I also do not believe everyone benefits from the same things and counseling is not for him. He's an extremey wise person and counseling would only offset him and not help him.
I suggest Meditation, maybe a Vipassana Course, something along those lines.
Any suggestions?

Well, i dont believe medication is the answer..its like bandaging a broken leg..he needs some form of closure, but perhaps not in a counselling sense..a psychiatrist perhaps, or even just your support in coming to terms with what happened.
If he has forgiven his father, and he truely means it, just let him be and support him. None of us who havnt been through that hell can ever really understand. I can undertsna however his feelings towards his mother. His father did the dreadful deed, yet she never lifted a finger or seeemd to care.
I dont really see much of a way forward other then professional help, or simply helping him to now lead his life how he wishes. If you have any comments or, i dunno, wanan ask a question, email me. Its on my profile. I hope it helps him, even if only a little bit :)

BTW, i perhaps should have said, but i have a grade 2 counsellorship degree, lol. Probs should have said tht at the start of the question :P

I can't tell from your question whether your husband was sexually abused as a child, or is a sexual abuser himself. If it is the latter, then you need to get your child away from him and report him to the police. You can worry about meditation or whatnot later. If he is the victim, then he definitely needs professional assistance of some kind.

what he needs is a life without parole sentence.
have you seen what happens to the child's self image?
why stand by and let a pervert destroy a child?
