Locate the original xp home CD
place it in the CD drive and shutdown the computer (start/shutdown)
Disconnet the power
Remove the case
Take the screws out off the old HD and unplug sata cable
put the new drive in, plug in SATA cable, put screws back
replace case, connect power
Turn it on and follow the on screen instructions

The drive itself , and likely your motherboard manual will both have installation instructions for a hard disk.
It's basically a matter of disconnectiong the 2 cables and screws from the old drive, and putting them into the new drive.
Then just install the OS as if it were a brand new system.

remove the data and power cable from previous hdd and replace its place with new sata hdd.and see that evrthing in same order as b4.thats all.
after inserting the xp cd just format the new hdd into desired partitions and let the cd do the other works.

I am asuming you have the CD and keycode for it. After you put the new harddrive in you turn on the system and put the cd in the drive. Your system will then boot off of the XP CD and just follow the instructions on the screen, it's pritty easy.
