My new high school uniform is a white blouse, school tie and black trousers or skirts. I've seen a few nice skirts and trousers, but I was wondering if anyone could give me help with customising my blouse, coz it's a bit boring!

Just so's you know, our skl isn't that strict. But they dont want us sticking on patches and stuff :-(

By the way, who ever said that it's what is on the inside that counts is completely, absolutely and totally right. But they've obviously never been to high skl! Some nice ideas coming in though. Thanks to all who've answered, I'll have a tough time choosing the best answer...

When I went to private school, we would wear different colored tank tops under our white blouses. Also a lot of colored chunky jewlery like necklaces and such. we did bright scarves too, but with your school tie, that may be a bit too much. Since you will be in high school, the ultimate customization is the rolling of the skirt to make it shorter. You take the top of the skirt near your waist and roll it to make it shorter. We used to do that and wear them over funky tights or fishnets. If you get sent to the principles office, just unroll it on your way there :D.

Well since its black and white, try and work silver in. Use silver eyeshadow, and a nice shiny lip gloss. Look for some silver jewelery, maybe some bangles. And add in a nice purse, maybe a black and white? If your allowed too, walmart sells some nice temp. hair color, maybe do just the tips. Also don't always be silver. Try medium pinks, light purples, maybe a little green, some light peaches, and maybe even some shades of blue. Just everyday wake up and say do i have
-bag
-bracelet/watch
-good hair/maybe a hat
-earings
-makeup
-decent looking nails
-white teeth
-clean face

You can get some really nice blouses at the moment as that nicole kidman look is really in trend right now. So i suggest getting a tailored plain white blouse, maybe one with short sleeves then go for some really cool accessories. Nothing to bright tho as ladylike chic is all the rage right now!

It depends how much you care about getting told off....I have a white shirt and i replaced the buttons with really sweet ones like lady-birds and little hearts and butterflies...I'd also try getting some iron-on patches maybe, or just sewing some ribbon round the cuffs or collar? Or if you're into the grunge/punk look get some studs or band patches or just scribble all over it, thats how i used to do mine!!

Depends how tight your teachers are as to what you can get away with! You could try ripping little holes in it then patching them up with bits of different coloured fabric. Or if you have a school crest on your uniform you could cut it off and replace it with Homer Simpson (or some other character!) My cousin tried it but got sent home, then again she went to a strict school. You could sew beads onto it to make it more jazzy!

ok first, what does your school allow? I think you should go to Claire's for fun, colorful or just pretty jewelry. some of there stuff no one would wear and smoe is awesome. just look closely. accessorize, style your hair in a trendy way, check magazines and find one you like that works for your face. do it with a friend or take it to a salon.

turn the trousers in2 a mini skrt and tie the top to make a belly shirt w/cleavage guys like that

try buying some cute hair accessories and jewelry and have some fun with your outfit. you could also experiment with new shades of makeup and nail polish. that way you wont get in trouble for changing up your outfit.
