I wait a little while longer. The are very expensive. They vary everywhere, so I do not know the price where you live. Everything involving babies is expensive. Just wait a while longer, think if you feel it is necessary, then go see what the cost is. Hope I helped.

Why don't you call whom ever put you on the Pill and refills it and ask them. You might just be having an off month due to hormones or stress. Some women skip their period totally when using the Pill.
Worrying now can make it worse. It's like, you are being responsible and have something like this happen to make you fret, it doesn't seem fair.
I don't know what a blood test would cost, but would say that it would depend on where you go. PP or the Health Dept. would most likely be cheapest. Call first, you would probably need an appt anyway.
Take care!

Chances are, the doctor won't give you a blood test anyway, for a couple reasons.
1) Pregnancy hormone levels differ from person to person. Generally they'll want you to miss at least 2weeks from your cycle date.
2) You've been on the pill for 6 years. Plus, choosing to stop taking the pill means you may need to stop all those other extracurricular activities also! You know what I mean.
3) Relax! Stress, even a change in one's environment (moving, final exams) can also causes missed periods. Re-test yourself in a week or so, if it hasn't started. If it's still negative, chances are you're not pregnant.

I had to get an ultrasound instead of a blood test. I took around 10 pregnancy tests with only one coming back positive. I finally went to the doc 3 1/2 months pregnant. I wish I went in earlier. If you have health insurance, go ahead and call your doc to see if you can schedule an appt. If you dont have health insurance, contact your local health department for options.

You may be able to go to your local health dept, but insurance will cover it(along with co-pay) but you can retest yourself at home again. I don't think a blood test is a necessary yet.
