because it's better to learn in a classroom then to hear from your friends all of the wrong things.

They usually start in some place as early as Kindergarten and then keep it up until they start handing out condoms to kids in school. At least that is what they did where I just moved from. I think that parents should do the teaching, but most are too lazy and don't know enough about true love and married sex in the first place.

im in michigan here children are taught about puberity between 3rd and fifth grade (about 8-10 years old) and start sex ed in 6th grade (11-12 years old) also they take a more indepth sex ed course in 9th grade (about 15 years old) none of these classes are required they can be elective if a parent does not want there child to participate. I think they should be mandatory, with 60% of our 14 year olds having sex, and most young people unable to know exactly how they might get pregnant or how they might get stds there needs to be something more with sex education- it just isn't doing its job.
you can tell by the number of questions that are very basic sex questions in the teen section

It's in school because alot of parents are too lazy or afraid to tell their kids about sex so they want other to do it for them. I don't think it's too early after seeing all the questions posted here from pregnant 13 year olds. What a sad thing that children are being pushed to grow up way to soon.

NO,NOt really because kids are wanting to have sex and actually r at like 10 and 11!it's so sad and I think it's good for them to be informed about it!and I think they need to be more tuff insex ed ebcause kids think it's a joke and they can sleep with everyone and having a baby young is ok!when ti's not.

Think about it. You cant make a kid/teenager not to watch tv. In this way, teenagers, get the idea that sex has to do with sex in the movies , which is not sth real and good to belive, and they cant see what sex really is. So, it's better to know about sex from an expert rather than from rumors or movies and mme....

they have it so that they can scare us into not doing it by telling us all about nasty std's and stuff (lol, plus they probly want us to know about it from a realistic point of view)
