A year ago in the Motorcycle Museum I saw the most adorable car I ever seen in my life! It was called Corbin Sparrow and it was a 3-wheeled electric vehicle: car/motorcycle. According to the lable it WAS a new-age high-tech motorcycle that was only on 3-wheels and it was registered as one by DMV, plus to that you can drive on the highway and in carpool lane (it's a one-person vehicle)!! I loved it and I am so looking forward to get it :) but dealerships around here (East Bay Area, CA) have NO idea what I'm talking about :(

Anyone knows how and where I can get a Corbin Sparrow (in any color)? How much is it? Will I be able to afford it? Where's the main dealership? What am I supposed to know BEFORE I'll get this cute and adorable car? Is there anything that I have to be concerned with? :)

I just lost everything I wrote. OMG. Well, you'll have to get the shortened version.
Myers motors now has all of Corbin's stuff and they are making the sparrows, but calling them the NMG
" Myers Motors web site has been updated with a new price for the NmG. They believe they have all the problems that plagued the Sparrow solved, and are now offering the NmG for sale for as little as $22,500." I guess as little as is in the eye of the beholder. anyway, they are taking deposits for it-

Although it was expected that thousands of Sparrows would be built, only 285 ever came to full production. Numerous mechanical and electrical problems (mainly with the motor controllers), as well as several financial and employee related issues forced Corbin Motors into United States Bankrupcy Court in the Northern District of California on March 31, 2003. Ultimately, (within a little over two years of production) the Sparrow, under the Corbin name was finished.

On August 5, 2004, Ohio businessman Dana Myers bought the Sparrow interests from Ron Huch. The new company, Myers Motors, has upgraded the Sparrow, renamed it the MM NmG (No more Gas), and started selling it on October 1, 2005, for US$35,000. The price has since been reduced to US$24,900. A second-generation all-electric vehicle, possibly a two-seater, is currently in development.

Sparrow owners - 'Sparrownauts' - have created a Yahoo! group to provide maintenance tips and other support.

This is what the Corbin website has to say about the Sparrow:

Perhaps ahead of its time, the Sparrow went out of production by sister company Corbin Motors amid a flurry of controversy in 2003. Naturally there was nobody more saddened by the loss than us. Many of the original Sparrows are still on the road and have a very loyal group of owners and enthusiasts. Development of the Sparrow concept continues to this day through various companies and individuals whose efforts are true to the belief that the Sparrow can change the world.

Do this. I am sure Corbin has a web site. Just go to it. They likely have an 800 number. Call them and ask where the nearest dealership is or it might be accessible from their site.

A check of the internet (try www.corbinsparrow.com) indicates that the company that built them went bankrupt. There were less than 300 produced, so finding one will probably be difficult, and since they are rare, you may end up paying more than the roughly $13000 they went for new.
