I dont think it matters one way or the other. I have a feeling that people are born that way, but I dont think it changes anything. Are people born good or evil? Same thing, it doesnt matter, because you are that thing. You are who you are, and the more people are willing to accept that, the more we could all just be ourselves and quit acting like we are capable of judging people as if we were God and we made the rules of the universe.

I think it is both genetic and environmental. Science is beginning to discover a gene that may influence being homosexual. I think if people stay educated on the topic, they would be aware of the fact that emerging science really suggest that it is heredity. Not 100% of all homosexuals will be that way just because of biology; environment and socialization can also have an effect. A lot of gays say that they just felt that way from the beginning. I am not gay and will never know how it feels to be gay, but I will not be 100% sure that people choose to be gay. And I don't see the problem with being homosexual anyway.

Science has shown that being gay or bi has genetic evidence to show that people are born that way.

This is not a black and white issue but an issue with many shades of gray.

People fear what is different from them. To each his own. With so much hate in the world, why do we insist on debating an issue that involves love.

If they are, then there is a self-destructive gene and that would have killed off all those in which it was dominant. Those with the gene in recessive mode might continue it, however. Considering that if the gene made males want to mate with males, then those males would not reproduce. If the gene made females want to mate with females, then those females would not reproduce. Eventually, unless it could also be recessive, present but not expressed, then it would have died out long ago. Persons, then, with the gene dominant would find it the same as a "fatal" genetic flaw, such as those that cause terminal diseases before the person reaches maturity and procreates.

No, they're INFLUENCED 2 go that way.

I just found this on BBC News.
Guess we've just gotta decide if we believe it or not.

Womb environment 'makes men gay'

A man's sexual orientation may be determined by conditions in the womb, according to a study.
Previous research had revealed the more older brothers a boy has, the more likely he is to be gay, but the reason for this phenomenon was unknown.
But a Canadian study has shown that the effect is most likely down to biological rather than social factors.
The research is published in the journal of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
Professor Anthony Bogaert from Brock University in Ontario, Canada, studied 944 heterosexual and homosexual men with either "biological" brothers, in this case those who share the same mother, or "non-biological" brothers, that is, adopted, step or half siblings.
These results support a prenatal origin to sexual orientation development in men
Professor Anthony Bogaert
He found the link between the number of older brothers and homosexuality only existed when the siblings shared the same mother.
The amount of time the individual spent being raised with older brothers did not affect their sexual orientation.
'Maternal memory'
Writing in the journal, Professor Bogaert said: "If rearing or social factors associated with older male siblings underlies the fraternal birth-order effect [the link between the number of older brothers and male homosexuality], then the number of non-biological older brothers should predict men's sexual orientation, but they do not.
"These results support a prenatal origin to sexual orientation development in men."
He suggests the effect is probably the result of a "maternal memory" in the womb for male births.
A woman's body may see a male foetus as "foreign", he says, prompting an immune reaction which may grow progressively stronger with each male child.
The antibodies created may have effect the developing male brain.
In an accompanying article, scientists from Michigan State University said: "These data strengthen the notion that the common denominator between biological brothers, the mother, provides a prenatal environment that fosters homosexuality in her younger sons."
"But the question of mechanism remains."
Andy Forrest, a spokesman for gay rights group Stonewall, said: "Increasingly, credible evidence appears to indicate that being gay is genetically determined rather than being a so-called lifestyle choice.
"It adds further weight to the argument that lesbian and gay people should be treated equally in society and not discriminated against for something that's just as inherent as skin colour."

I believe that gay people are born with that gene. I don't know about "bi" people - I haven't seen any studies done about why they would desire both sexes. That might be more of an experimental thing - but like I said, I am not familiar with any studies done on these people.

People are not born bi or gay is what they chose to be. Even if their born that way it really does not matter.

Yes I believe that people are born bi or gay. I doubt there is some huge conspiracy to "turn" people gay.
