From a technical point of view, without question this would have to be a tossup between Liszt's 1838 version of Transcendental Etudes Nos. 5 & 12. Another candidate would be Godowsky's arrangements of Chopin's Etudes. From an interpretive point of view you'd be hard-pressed to find something tougher than Beethoven's late sonatas, particularly the Hammerklavier.
