i had an u/s about 5 days ago and my baby was head down but as she was taking pics of her,my doc said that the placenta was in her face but she said it was normal!!!has anyone heard of this or had this??

The only place they don't want it is over your cervix. If it was in her face then it's probably on the lower left or right side, which would be just fine.
Your doc should go over the results with you during your next appt, so if you are reassured by the answers you get, you can verifiy then. Otherwise, if you are still nervous, call and ask the receptionist if the doc will call you back to answer your question. That would be the best bet to totally ease your mind.

Yes I have heard of it, its because of the way your baby is positioned. Sometimes the placenta can grow closer to the bottom of your uterus, the only time you need to worry when this happens is when it covers the cervical opening. In a situation like this they have to do a C-section. Good Luck.

Yes I am 20 weeks along and I had a u/s done and they said my baby is breeched and the placenta is by my cervix and hope it will move before i deliver or have a c-section.
