It can come as late as the last sugar pill or the first days of getting back on the active pills. If it persists, see your doctor. The longer you are on the pills, the shorter and lighter your cycle will be.

You should get your period during the week on inactive pills. This is called withdrawal bleeding. I have been on the pill for 8 years straight and I don't begin my cycle until the 5th day of inactive pills. You could always call your GYN if you are concerned. The longer I have been on the pill, the shorter my cycle has become. I used to start on the second or third day when I had been taking it for only a couple of years, but now, it has progressed to the fifth day.

You should get it within the sugar pill days. Every woman is different and every pill acts differently.
