First graduate from Langley, Virginia as a "covert" operative.
Otherwise - Fraction into a decimal: Multiply denominator to equal 100; then use the same multiplier for the numerator.
Example:
1/5 = 20 times the demoninator x 5 = 100
20 times the numerator x 1 = 20
20/100 = .20
4/10= 10 times the demoninator x 10 = 100
10 times the numerator x 4 = 40
40/100 = .40
4/10 is also equal to 2/5 (divide the numerator & denominator by 2)

I'm making up these numbers as I go:
Let's try 13/16th.
16)13.0000
You'll get .8125
Multiply that by 100 and throw on a %
81.25%.
You should learn the most common fractions: 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 1/5, 1/6, 1/7, 1/8, 1/9, 1/10 and all their multiples up to x/x = 1.
[1/7 = .142856. 2/7 = (move to the next lowest digit, and move the front digits to the end) .285614. 3/7 = .428561 ... ] [ Note that these are repeating sequences. 1/7 actually is .142856142856142856142856...]
Let's say you have .474
That's 474/1000 (number of zeroes = number of places after the decimal)
now they're both even, divide by 2
237/500. I don't know if this reduces. But I can prime factor both top & bottom
bottom is easy. 5 * 100 = 5 * 5 * 5 * 2 * 2
top not so easy. but all the digits add up to a multiple of 3 (2 + 3 + 7 = 12), so we can divide it by 3
237 = 3 * 79. 79 will not divide by 3. nor 5, nor 7. So it's prime. (I only have to divide by all the primes up to âx to quit trying.)
so we have 3*79 / 2*2*5*5*5. No common factors top & bottom. This fraction is in lowest terms.
You should learn how to easily identify if a number is divisible by 2, 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11 (for 3 digit numbers)

well for fraction into decimal, say it's 2/3 u simply divide 2 by 3 okay i'll tell u how..... 2 is smaller than 3 so in the quotient u put a "." (point ) & in the dividend u put a zero so 2 becomes 20
now divide 20 by 3 thats 6 so answer is .6 okay
for decimal into fraction thats even easier like decimal is .23 divide the number by 10 or 100 or 1000 depending on how many digits u have after the point... here u have 2 digits after decimal so u remove the decimal n divide by 100(2 zeros because 2 digits after decimal) thats 23/100
say if it's 4.975 then u have 3 digits after decimal so u divide by 1000 that's 4975/1000
got it??

to convert a fraction into a decimal, divide the top by the bottom. decimal to fraction, count the number of digits after the decimal point, put a one in front of that, that number is your denominator, the numerator is the number behind the decimal point. This only works if the decimal is less than 1.

decimal to fraction:
example: 0.05 is really 5/100 because the 5 is in the 1/100ths place.
if you have more numbers... put them ALL over the place of the last one.. example:
0.00123 = 123/100000 <== has 5 zeros because the 3 is 5 places from the decimal.
after you get the fraction.. you need to reduce it to lowest terms.
fraction to decimal.. just divide the top number by the bottom number.. example:
2/5 = 2 divided by 5 = 0.4 (5 won't go into 2, but it goes into 20 four times... hard to show division in text.. hehe)
for REPEATING decimals!!
Example:
0.123451234512345...
x = 0.123451234512345...
now multiply this number by large enough number to move one FULL set of the repeat to left of decimal
100000x = 12345.1234512345...
now... 100000x - x = 99999x
or... 12345.12345...
...............-0.12345...
=.....12345.0.........
so... 99999x = 12345
and x = 12345/99999
easier example:
....x = 0.3333333333...
10x = 3.3333333333...
10x - x = 9x = (3.33...)-(0.33...) = 3
9x = 3
x = 3/9 = 1/3
