My opinion: None, but if you have to choose one, I would chose to be overweight. You can loose weight, but you cant cure your lung cancer... !

That's kinda tough actually. A lot of people are unhappy with being overweight so they do start smoking and vice versa for the non-smokers. It is honestly, in my opinion, sad that people have to turn to smoking to lose weight. I, myself, am not a non-smoker. My grandma smokes and it's disgusting. I can't stand the smell of it. It gives me a horrible headache. Maybe people turn to smoking because it's a cover up of some sort, but why wouldn't you want to prove to yourself and to other's that you can work to lose weight? Wouldn't you think that would be so much of a better feeling? Of knowing that you have accomplished something because YOU have worked for it instead of turning to something that can cause cancer? That's my opinion! Thanks!

The question was very general. You need to be more specific. Because it depends on the severity of each case. I am very fit and I smoke. I smoke about 4 cigarettes a days, and would rather stay that way than gain a 100 pounds of fat. Then again I would rather quit smoking and gain just 15 pounds.

This is a fact smoking don't make you not hungery or lose weight and smoking has way more risks like lung cancer and being over weight is not bad and you dont gain all that much weight from not smoking its just a mental thing you want a ciggaret and you dont have one so instead you eat to fix your craving. Health class....

Unfortunately in our society, it is more socially acceptable to be a smoker than to be over weight.
Even though smoking is a choice & most ppl who are over weight, this was not a choice, like those w/metobolic disorders.
You really have to stop & think about those who are overweight... Have you ever known anyone who wanted to be heavy? It's not like they woke up one day & decided to be obese.

Both cause heart attacks, but only smoking causes lung cancer. Smoking and eating are unrelated, this is a urban myth. Quit smoking and supplement the loss by exercising and eating healthy.

That's a hard question to answer...Personally, I'd rather smoke than be overweight. They are both bad for you though. It just depends on WHAT you'd rather die of.

Overweight. You can still be moderately overweight, and still be fit. You CANNOT be a fit smoker.
